The Brisbane SMB IT Professional Group is a group of IT resellers, consultants and administrators interested in the particular challenges facing the IT pro in the SMB space.
Through monthly meetings, an online forum and annual technical sessions we discuss issues and troubleshoot problems that members are facing in their day to day work as well as discuss upcoming products and technologies so that we can all keep ahead of the curve.
The inaugural meeting was Tuesday 30 March 2004 and the SMB IT Professionals Group - Brisbane is one of the stronger user groups of its kind in Australia.
We meet on the last Tuesday of every calendar month from 5:30pm-8:00pm in the Microsoft Brisbane office (Level 9, 1 Eagle Street, Brisbane) to debate issues and get first hand knowledge on products available to SMB professionals.
We discuss many topics related to Small and Medium Business IT, both of a sales & marketing and technical nature. The heart of the group revolves around an online forum to post Q&As about SBS and SMB issues.
Membership is restricted to those that have been verified as having a genuine interest in the SBS product and now that the group is fully incorporated, we have a $99 annual fee to cover expenses for insurance and annual sessions.
This group is a valuable resource for any SMB related IT Professional - not only do we have members from Brisbane and throughout Queensland, but from right across the country.
